"The only perfect world we can ever hope to live in is one in which our extremes are balanced"
Bridget's Quote
"No occupation is so delightful to me as the culture of the earth, and no culture comparable to that of the garden. Such a variety of subjects, some one always coming to perfection, the failure of one thing repaired by the success of another, and instead of one harvest, a continued one thro' the year. Under a total want of demand except for our family table. I am still devoted to the garden. But tho' an old [woman], I am but a young gardener. --Thomas Jefferson
For mother's day we went to the Huntington Botanical Gardens in Pasadena. Grandma and Grandpa Meraz met us there. After touring the gardens and some lunch (where Aaron entertained us with his favorite mealtime game...'I am thinking of an animal...") we split up. Michael and I took Aaron to play in the children's garden, while Grandma and Grandpa went into the library/museum. Here are some pics from the outing.
At the very end of the day we were excited when a hawk flew down right near us to grab a lizard...it was beautiful! (He is in the center, this pic is him just taking off)
